Terms of Service

1. Authorization to Scan

VulnScanAI lets you run technical security scans (including but not limited to port scans, web application scans, and vulnerability scans) against a URL, IP address, or IP range you specify, and lets you run organizational compliance assessments against frameworks such as DPDP, RBI, and SEBI.

By using any scanning feature, you confirm that you either own the target system, or you have explicit, documented authorization from the owner or operator of that system to test it. You are solely responsible for verifying that authorization exists before starting a scan. Running a scan against a system without proper authorization may violate applicable law, including but not limited to the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and equivalent laws in other jurisdictions, and may expose you to civil or criminal liability.

2. Prohibited Targets

You may not use VulnScanAI to scan government, military, or other systems we designate as off-limits, regardless of any authorization you believe you hold. We may block, without notice, scanning of specific targets or categories of targets at our sole discretion.

3. Rate Limits and Verification

We may limit how many scans you can start in a given period, and may require you to prove ownership or control of a target (for example, by publishing a token we provide to a file or meta tag on that target) before allowing certain scan types to run against it. These controls exist to protect third parties whose systems could otherwise be scanned without their knowledge, and we may adjust them at any time.

4. Logging and Monitoring

We log scan requests, including the target, timestamp, your account, and your IP address, whether or not a given scan is ultimately allowed to run. We may use these logs to investigate suspected abuse, to respond to complaints from target system owners, and to comply with legal process.

5. Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have used VulnScanAI to scan a system without authorization, or otherwise in violation of these terms, without prior notice.

6. No Warranty on Results

Scan results and AI-generated analysis are provided for informational purposes and do not guarantee the identification of all vulnerabilities or compliance gaps. You remain responsible for your own security and compliance posture.
